In this program, students learn about the design, construction, renovation and management of buildings. Course subjects include architectural drawing, building systems and materials and mechanics. In addition to their coursework, students regularly visit noteworthy buildings and architectural landmarks and benefit from frequent guest lectures from industry experts. In their final semester, students participate in a two-week internship to gain hands-on experience as technologists in the field.
Our graduates go on to work with engineers, designers, general contractors, developers and architects in both the public and private sectors. Many choose to pursue university studies in these fields. Vanier’s Architectural Technology program boasts strong industry partnerships and governmental recognition for academic excellence. Our faculty is composed of LEED-certified architects and engineers committed to student success. The department is also committed to nurturing community ties, and regularly hosts events for its students.
