Scholarships
It was great day for students of the Vanier College Architectural Technology Program who gathered on May 31st for an Awards ceremony and the End‐of‐year BBQ. Students, teachers and special guests celebrated what was the close of the 50th Anniversary year for the program by applauding student success and achievement as scholarships were distributed.
Guests included Alan de Sousa, mayor of the borough of St‐Laurent; Emmanuella Lambropoulos, Federal MP for Saint‐Laurent; Aref Salem, city councilor and leader of the official opposition at Montreal City Hall; Vana Nazarian, city councilor; representatives Isabelle Lord and Nathalie Côté from the office of Marwah Rizqy, MNA for Saint‐Laurent; Martin Fecteau representing André Morin, MNA for Acadie.
Congratulations to all the students who received scholarships:
It was a fun-filled afternoon of food provided by Mucho Burrito serving tacos, deserts from Crèmerie Mémorable and cotton candy. A photo booth by Frame-It allowed students to capture the moment. And to make sure everyone remembered the day, Amaze Entertainment provided an axe-throwing activity.
The Architectural Technology Department is grateful to its partners SAJO Inc., Groupe Lessard, Figurr collectif d’architectes, CGC, Planit Construction and Divco, and thankful for the support and encouragement of the borough council of St‐Laurent, Marwah Rizqy, MNA for Saint‐Laurent, André Morin MNA for Acadie, and Emmanuella Lambropoulos, MP for Saint‐Laurent.
