Québec provincial election: Vanier College to host debate on the proposed Québec Charter of Values and other election issues on March 31st

Vanier College is pleased to announce that representatives of all sitting parties running in the April 7th 2014 election will be participating in a debate on the proposed Québec Charter of Values and other election issues. The debate will be held at noon on Monday, March 31st 2014, in the Vanier College Auditorium (A-103), located at 821 St. Croix Avenue in the borough of St. Laurent.

The debate will be moderated by Mr. Paul Karwatsky, co-anchor of CTV News Montreal.

The debate participants are:

Quebec Liberal Party: Ms. Christine St-Pierre MNA for Acadie

Coalition Avenir Québec: Mr. Benoit Charrette, candidate for the CAQ in Deux-Montagnes;

Parti Québécois: Ms. Évelyne Abitbol, candidate for the PQ in Acadie;

Québec Solidaire: Mrs Hasnaa Kadiri, candidate in St. Laurent.

“As President of the Vanier College Students Association I would like to thank all of the parties for agreeing to participate in this debate. This is an extremely important election with a lot at stake so Vanier College is fortunate that we will have a forum where members of our community will be able to learn about the positions of the different parties on the Charter and other election-related issues,” said Omar Riaz, President of the Vanier College Students Association
