Student Transcript Activity Record (S.T.A.R) is a non-credit entry on your official transcript that recognizes 60+ hours of involvement at Vanier and/or in your community. This program exists in colleges across Quebec.
Participation in the S.T.A.R. program is noted on your official Vanier College transcript when you graduate. It is recognized by university scholarship committees, university admissions departments, and by future employers.
Check out the Vanier Student Life Community on Omnivox for suggestions of ways to get involved and to sign-up to receive volunteer & involvement opportunity emails.

To receive S.T.A.R. recognition, please complete the online submission form (one form per person) linked on Omnivox under the Vanier Student Life Community.
Please have your supervisor(s) (Vanier employee(s) AND external supervisors) sign the Involvement & Supervisor Verification Form (available on Omnivox under the Vanier student Life Community). You can upload a photo or scan of a hard copy into the Google form or attach it as a PDF with e-signature.
You can complete involvement hours in more than one place. However, all the hours you accumulate must be from the same category to receive that specific S.T.A.R. recognition. The only exception is combining hours from different categories into the Social & Community S.T.A.R. category.
S.T.A.R. recognition will be on your Vanier College transcript only after the final grades are submitted and all the submissions have been processed. You will be contacted by MIO to let you know if your application was approved.
You can only received S.T.A.R. recognition if:
