Vanier College is proud to announce that Alison Levine, a Vanier Special Care Counselling graduate, won two gold medals in Boccia Ball at her third Parapan Am games plus had the honour of carrying the Canadian flag into the closing ceremony in Santiago, Chile.
Alison, who is ranked third in the world in boccia, pulled off her first-ever individual podium finish at the Games, defeating world No. 1 Leidy Chica Chica in the women's BC4 final. She then went on to win gold in BC4 pairs alongside Iulian Ciobanu, upgrading her previous silver (Toronto 2015) and bronze (Lima 2019) from previous Parapan Am games.
With her wins, Alison is now headed to next summer’s Paralympic Games in Paris. Read the CBC report for more details:
