Vanier College to host the 2014-2015 Provincial College Soccer Championships

Mr. Normand W. Bernier, Director General of Vanier College, is pleased to announce that Vanier will be hosting the 2014-2015 Provincial College Soccer Championships (Division 1) from October 24th to October 26th 2014. The event will bring together the best male and female soccer athletes from across Quebec.

“I am proud that Vanier College will be hosting this major sporting event, which will see Quebec’s top soccer athletes competing for the provincial championship. As well, this competition will provide a great opportunity to showcase Vanier’s new synthetic field, which is an amazing asset for our college,” said Mr. Bernier.

In addition to the three days of soccer matches there will also be a banquet held on October 24th at 7:30 p.m. at the Embassy Plaza located at 1003 Cure-Labelle Blvd.

Winners of the provincial championships subsequently will go on to play at the Canadian national championships being held from November 5th to November 8th 2014. The women’s teams will be hosted by Medecine Hat College in Medecine Hat, AB.  The men’s teams will be received by the Sheridan Institute of Technology, Oakville, ON.

All of the games will be played at Vanier College except for the men’s and women’s bronze medal finals, which will be played at College-de Bois-de-Boulogne.
