Vanier Athletics seeks head coach for women's rugby

Description of Position

Vanier College Athletics is currently accepting applications for the position of a part-time Head Coach for their Women’s Rugby Team in RSEQ’s Sud-Ouest conference. Reporting to the Student Life Advisor - Athletics, the Head Coach is responsible for planning, recruiting, training, and motivating the Women’s Rugby team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain communication with the Athletics department 
• Prepare the team and the athletes in all aspects of physical and mental well-being; prepare weekly practices, monthly and season objectives. 
• Manage team practices and team selection, as well as work with assistant coaches 
• Establish and maintain team rules, as well as ensure proper conduct, sportsmanship and ethical behavior as per the RSEQ Code of Conduct, and the Vanier College Code of Conduct Policy 
• Participate and collaborate with all initiatives from the Athletics and Student Services departments 
• Display a positive image for the student athletes and be an appropriate representation of the college 

Additional Information

This is a 1-year contract, effective as of August 25, 2025. The contract will be renewable after every year. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of coaching experience (preferably at the post-secondary level) as well as a level 2 NCCP certification. Salary will be determined at the time of interview.
