Mr. John McMahon, Director General of Vanier College is pleased to announce that after two days of mounting excitement and imaginative presentations at the Scotiabank Vanier College 2019 National Marketing Case Competition on February 9 and 10, 2019, the first place Gold Award went to SAIT Polytechnic from Alberta. Congratulations to the SAIT Team composed of students Alejandra Ospina, Jordan Archibald and Jonathon Williamson and their Coaches Jacqueline Lyndon and Darrin Ambrose.
The Silver Award went to Algonquin College whose team consisted of Jane Fysh, Alexander Frangione, and Josh Deiter with coaches Bill Garbarino and Jim Neubauer; while the Bronze Award went to Okanagan College composed of Cooper Simson, Nico Dirksen, Nathan Ziebart and their coaches Blair Baldwin and Mark Ziebarth. The three other teams that made it to the finals were George Brown College, Red River College, and Cégep de Drummondville. During the weekend event, twenty-seven teams of marketing students from colleges across Canada had three hours to analyze a real marketing case and present viable marketing solutions before a panel of expert judges.
“The Marketing Case Competition is a perfect example of how a collaboration between Vanier College and an organization such as Scotiabank, the principal sponsor of this event, can create unique learning opportunities for students that motivate them in their educational and career pursuits,” said M. McMahon.

Congratulations as well to the twelve Scotiabank award winners, which represented the four top winners from the three competition divisions on Saturday: Algonquin College, Cégep de Drummondville, Collège Edouard-Montpetit, Collège La Cité, George Brown College, Mohawk College, Collège Ahuntsic, Okanagan College, Red River College, Seneca College, SAIT Polytechnic, and Vanier College.
