In Memoriam: Rita Bonar

Vanier College mourns the recent passing of Rita Bonar on December 3, 2022, at the age of 71, after a brave battle with liver cancer. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family, particularly her son Brian Bonar, who teaches in Continuing Education at Vanier.
Rita was a beloved member of the Vanier community, teaching Special Care Counselling from the 1990s until her retirement in 2020. Her teaching career began at William Hingston High School and expanded to include CEGEP, McGill University’s School of Social Work, and the University of Montreal’s Continuing Education department.
