2018 Vanier College BDC Case Challenge team members and judges announced

February 6, 2018

A daunting panel of experts from business, industry and education will sit on the jury evaluating contestants from across Canada at the 13th Annual Vanier College BDC Case Challenge on February 10 and 11, 2018. The judges size up the next wave of young talent in marketing coming from 24 colleges across the country, all aiming for top place honours in this unique national, bilingual, college-level case competition.

“Case competitions like this allow students to gain the confidence to pursue marketing and entrepreneurial endeavours when they graduate,” indicates Case Challenge organizer, David Moscovitz. “Students must develop on their creativity and marketing skills and it’s not easy to gain a spot on a competition team.” Congratulations to the 2018 Vanier BDC team: Isaiah Paul-Cole, Krystal Milo, Dylan Papineau and Isabella Mirasola, with Head Coach David Moscovitz and Peter Vogopoulos, Assistant Coach.

What’s the challenge in a case competition? It’s to analyze a never-before-seen business problem and create a winning marketing strategy, in only three hours.  It’s not for the faint of heart!  Quick and clear thinking, courage and creativity, and a can-do attitude are the hallmarks of the best presenters who stand and deliver before a panel of invited experts from business, industry and education.

Round One of the 2018 competition will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel (Montreal Airport), 7000 Place Robert-Joncas, (514-339-5333). Presentations begin at 10:00 AM and run until 4:00 PM on Saturday.  Because of the large number of participants, there will be three divisions of nine presentations on Saturday.  That evening, the top two teams from each of the three divisions will be announced at a gala dinner at 7:00 PM.  These top six teams will then go on to compete Sunday morning, February 11, 2018, following which, an awards luncheon will take place.
