Students will gain essential skills to identify the characteristics of a family home daycare service and understand the provider's role and responsibilities. The curriculum covers child development theory, health and safety requirements, and the planning, organization, and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs for mixed age groups. Additionally, participants will learn about the administrative framework of family home daycare and the available support services. The course employs diverse teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, role play, films, and hands-on experiences, to ensure a thorough and engaging learning experience.
