The Digital Drafting Specialist program (previously known as Computer Assisted Drafting) prepares individuals to apply basic mechanical and architectural drafting knowledge and skills to the development of technical drawings in support of related professionals.
The goal of this program is to provide a diverse population of adult learners with the opportunity to build mechanical and architectural drafting skills needed for drafting job performance. The content includes the application of advanced computer software and hardware, Computer Assisted Drafting, Computer Assisted Design and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to the creation of graphic representations and simulations in support of both engineering and architectural projects.
This certification program offers courses designed to help students acquire the necessary qualifications for an entry-level position as a CAD operator/drafter. It also aims to assist professionals already active in the industry, especially those coming from abroad, in updating their skills to integrate into the local job market.
