They work with sensors, motors, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), programming platforms, drive systems and robots. This leads to employment in three specialized fields: factory automation, process control and the Industrial Internet of Things (IloT), in which computing is applied to operational systems.
Through extensive hands-on experience and internships, students are well-prepared to obtain industry certifications in mechatronics, process control and automation. Graduates enjoy a job placement rate of over 90% in a wide range of industries, such as mining, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage production, forestry and energy.
