In Memoriam: Joseph Frederic Mayer, 1946 – 2024

It is with profound sadness that Vanier College announces the passing of Frederic (Fred) Mayer, who passed away on July 13, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Fred taught Mathematics at Vanier from 1982 until his retirement in 2008. Known for his exceptional talent as a mathematician, Fred served as the coordinator of the Mathematics Department for several years, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and students alike.
