The academic calendar applies to regular day students enrolled in Diploma of College Studies programs.

Statutory holidays and summer hours for faculty and staff are listed below.

Winter 2025 important dates

  • First day of class: January 20
  • Preference course change (online) : January 25-26
  • Deadline to withdraw from a course or from Vanier : February 14
  • Confirmation of attendance : February 17 - 21
  • Deadline to request a program change for Fall 2025: March 1st
  • Deadline to apply for day studies in Fall 2025 (round 1): March 1st
  • Study break (no classes): March 10 - 14
  • Midterm assessment results in Omnivox: March 17
  • Deadline to drop a course : April 7
  • Good Friday, college closed: April 18
  • Easter Monday, college closed: April 21st
  • Last day of classes (Monday schedule): May 16
  • English Exit Exam and Épreuve uniforme de français: May 14
  • Victoria Day, college closed: May 19
  • Final exam period: May 20 - 28
  • Intersession courses: May 20 - June 4

Semesters

The regular academic year runs from mid-August to the end of May.

There are two regular semesters:

  • Fall semester : 15 weeks from mid-August to December
  • Winter semester : 15 weeks from mid-January to May

Typically, the summer semester is off. However, it is possible to register for summer school and intersession courses through Continuing Education.
