The Vanier College Business Administration Department has been hosting and organizing this inter-collegial, national marketing case competition since 2006. The competition offers community college and CEGEP level Business Administration students a singular opportunity to apply what they learn in the classroom to a true to life business experience.
The Vanier College Scotiabank Case Competition is a pressure-cooker event that give students a taste of real world business problems. Teams made up of three students have three hours to analyze a business problem and create a viable marketing plan. They then make a twenty-minute Power Point presentation based on their marketing strategy in front of a panel of judges, peers, and invited guests.
The event is hosted at the Montreal Airport Marriott Hotel over 3 days, featuring awards, dinners and networking opportunities in addition to the competition itself.
