2023-24 Coaches
François René, head coach
With 11 years of playing experience & 8 years of coaching experience (boys & girls), François René is currently in his sixth year as the head coach of the Women’s Division 1 program at Vanier College. Coach René served as an assistant coach for the Cheetahs in 2017-2018 before becoming Head Coach in the 2018-2019 season. François’s objective is to help players achieve their full potential; he is dedicated and is always willing to teach and give his time to his players.
François was also part of the NEXT mentorship program with Drew Hanlen of Pure Sweat Basketball, where he took part in different workouts in Los Angeles and Toronto with NBA players like Bradley Beal, Jason Tatum, RJ Barrett, Meyers Leonard & Mo Bamba.
